We highly encourage all adults who desire to have a courageous faith to dive into the material on the RANSOMED HEART website! There are small group studies, podcasts, blogs, and much more for both men and women included on this site!
And we also encourage all parents who have a desire to see their sons and daughters grow in faith… in strength…
in boldness… and in compassion while standing firmly upon the words of God to become well acquainted with the material that is found on the RANSOMED HEART and AND SONS MAGAZINE websites! Under the “Captivating Women” section on the RANSOMED HEART website parents will find great information for helping foster their daughters faith, and the AND SONS MAGAZINE is a immense treasure of strong Bible studies for young men! Our deepest desire is that as your children grow up they too would read, listen, and watch as God’s word is courageously brought to life through stories that will uplift and encourage them to live a life that is transformed by God’s grace and mercy!

Young Adult Retreat

Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th-28th, our Young Adults encourage you to mark your calendars for our next Young Adult Retreat! You are invited to join us for a weekend escape to the beautiful surroundings of Asheville, North Carolina! We plan to leave from Church Friday May 25th at 5PM and then return Monday morning! Join us as we explore awesome places such as the Pisgah National Forest, the Biltmore Estate, and potentially even take in a minor league baseball game at McCormick Field where portions of the movie “Bull Durham” was filmed! For all of our families, we encourage you to bring your children with you for the great weekend and make it a family vacation! We will dive into God’s word throughout our weekend, and be reminded of how we are the greatest masterpieces His hands have ever formed!

Current Sunday Bible Class

The Book of Jonah

At the end of the day, God is less concerned with what we do for Him than who we are in Him. Few figures illustrate that truth better than Jonah. Focused on the prophet rather than his prophecy, the story of Jonah gives us a picture of a man on the run due to his own selfish desires. Instead of showing mercy to his enemies, he determined to keep God’s grace to himself rather than share it with those he considered undeserving. Can you relate?
Over the course of 8 verse-by-verse sessions, pastor and author Eric Mason expands our vision to see that Jonah’s story is our own. Far more than a thrilling Sunday school adventure, it offers a profound glimpse into the conflict that occurs when God calls resistant believers to His mission. More importantly, it underscores the depths of His compassion not only in redeeming the lost, but redeeming those He has called to participate in His reconciling work. So climb aboard and settle in as Eric reveals how God uses extraordinary circumstances to break our hearts of selfishness, convince us of His tender care, and unite our lives to His glory.

Parenting Today

You are invited to join Harry and Kim Shaw as they begin a new class and continue to discuss important ways to raise your children with intentionality in pursuing a relationship with their Heavenly Father! You will hear from Josh Denhart, who is a Children’s Ministry Director at Valley Church in West Des Moines, Iowa as well as a former high school chemistry teacher! You won’t want to miss the opportunity to grow in your faith, help your children grow in theirs, and have some fun fellowship with other parents who are facing the same challenges that you are going through! See you on Sunday!

Upcoming Servant Events

Mark 10:45 states that, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Jesus also said in Mark 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me…” These and other bible verses remind us that a life of faith in Christ is not one that is simply placed upon a shelf and never used. Instead it is one that seeks to share God’s love with everyone in our community, city, and world. Our Young Adults currently seek to serve our community while we take God’s love into the world in hopes that all people would hear His voice speaking directly to them!

Current Week-Day Bible Study

Experiencing God’s Presence Study

Our current Young Adult Bible Study, which repeats every other Thursday, is going through Sarah Young’s book called “Jesus Calling, ‘Leading a joy filled life’.” This is a study in the Jesus Calling Bible Study Series, where we will be encouraged to lay down our cares and spend time each day with our heavenly Father. As we follow the Lord’s instruction to “be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10), we will encounter His peace, be filled with His strength, gain a new perspective on our lives, and experience the full life that only He can provide.
